SUMMER IS OVER

Cadiz, Spain

Hi there!
It’s been ages since I last was around here. It feels weird, but it really feels great! I wanted to start again posting a few months ago but I chose to stay focused with uni and I was working too. Then summer came and I chose to enjoy my summer. So that brings me here, my last day of holidays, as tomorrow I start university classes again.
I believe it is a good moment to come back to the blog and start posting again. I have way too much things to share with you.
I am not going to reveal lots of things in this post but I can tell you lots of exciting things are yet to come!
I have mixed feelings about going back to uni tomorrow. I am sad because my vacations are over and it is time to go back to the real world. I am not going to be able to be outdoors as much as I would like to. Studying an engineering career means I have crazy schedules which leave me with not a lot of free time. I would also like to work again to be able to save some money. Having said that, my main goal is to be more organised and make time for me.
I intend on being around here qiute a lot and I also have a couple of projects in mind…
Hope you had a lovely summer and if you are still on vacation I can only tell you to enjoy it while it last…
Good luck going back to work/uni/school and see you very soon!

LIFE UPDATE

Tumblr

Hello there!
As you may have noticed I am not around here that much anymore and this is because I had not had the best couple of weeks lately. I am a cheerful and happy person most of the time, but I don't really know why but for the last few weeks I've been feeling a little sad and down. 2015 was a year where a lot of good things happened but there were some pretty tough moments too. So when 2016 started I had a good feeling about it. January was okay. However, these last few days I've felt as if I do not know where I belong and it is kind of upsetting me! I usually know what I really want and I go for it but lately this has changed.
I've had the busiest couple of weeks (uni related), with no time for myself and no time for working out or anything else.
When it came to posting something for the blog I found myself with lots of ideas but not wanting to write/do anything. I felt as if I was trapped somewhere.
Friends related, I should begin to accept that people come and go. And that is okay, I have to assume that there is no good in forcing something that is not supposed to happen.
So due to all of this I've realized that what I need is some excitement in my life. I've been feeling like that for a long time but I assume that it has come to a time when I have to do something about it. Sometimes it's better to write your thoughts in order to be able to have a clear idea of what you are really going through and from there you can start to move on. So from now on my number one priority is my well-being and feeling good.
To finish I want to share the first to sentences of one of the songs that I am loving right now, it describes very good how I've been feeling. It's from 'Remedy' by Adele and it goes like this:

'I remember all of the things that I thought I wanted to be
So desperate to find a way out of my world
And finally breath'

So after this deep post I say goodbye! I hope you enjoy what you can find here in my blog. I originally opened it as a place where I can share what I really feel with no limits and not aiming that some person will be at the other side of the screen reading what I post.
A few months ago I tried to establish a schedule for my post but everything that is uploaded to my blog is definitely something I love so I am never going to put up content that I do not like. That's why I am not around here as often as I used to.
So because of that I am very very grateful if at least one person reading this enjoys what she/he sees!
Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
I will be around here sooner than you think!

FAVORITE MUSIC: JANUARY 2016

Hi there!
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! (A little bit late though)
I finally finished my exams and I am ready to go back and post more regularly!
As I have been studying non-stop for the last month I hadn't really had time to do much! But there is a thing that no matter what I am doing it is always a must for me which is music. So I am going to share some of my favorite songs right now.
Starting this month I want  to share my favorite music of the moment once a month! My friend Aisha has been doing it for the last year and I think it is quite a good idea so I thought of doing the same!
So this is my:

-ADELE: I love her since her first album came out but I have to say that the new album is even better than anything she's already done! I have been listening on repeat. Her voice makes me feel calmed and relaxed as well as inspired. Her music is full of emotion and feelings and I love that. When I listen to music the most important things for me are the voice, the meaning and the emotion, so that is why Adele is definitely one of my favorite. From her album '25' my favorite songs are Remedy, Hello, When We Were Young, Million years ago and definitely my ultimate favorite is All I ask. I don't know what is going on with this song but I am all about it! It is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time! It has everything I could ask for in a song!
I suppose that if you like adele as much as I do you would already have seen her carpool karaoke with James Corden for The Late Late Show which is bloody amazing but if you haven't I will leave the video here:

-JUSTIN BIEBER: As I said in my last post I love his album so much, so whenever I needed some fun and upbeat music I would play 'Sorry' while at night I would always listen to 'Love Yourself'.

-KYGO: this may seem weird but I love his remixes. There are quite a lot that are perfect to study such as the one he made of 'No diggity' sung by Ed Sheeran and 'Let her go' by Passenger. These kind of chilled out remixes are great for ambiance music and it creates the perfect environment to study.

-JESS GLYNNE: I love her voice, her music, her vibe and everything about her. I've been listening to her debut album 'I Cry When I Laugh' on repeat for the last few months but there is a song that at first I didn't like as much but now I can't stop singing it. It is 'Gave Me Something'. It makes me happy and I really enjoy it! But the songs that I enjoy the most are 'Take me home' and 'My love' (the acoustic version).

-ZAYN MALIK: Today Zayn has released his first solo single and I find it quite amazing! I wasn't sure about it because I am still sad about him leaving one direction but I am happy for him too if this is what he really wants to do. The song is incredible! I really enjoy the vibe and the voice is simply amazing. Besides, Gigi appears in the video so its a win win (Relationship goals). I have to say that I already know the lyrics of the entire song and it's only been a couple of hours!

So that is everything for today, I hope you liked the post and I will see you very soon! Have a great weekend!

MY YEAR IN...

Hi there! Today is the last day of 2015 so I just wanted to look back and bring back some of my favorite bits of this year! I hope 2015 was a good year for you! And if it wasn’t I am sure that 2016 will bring great things for everyone!
For me it was definitely a year or changes! A lot of things changed in my life, some for the good and others not so much.

Let’s start, this is MY YEAR IN:

MUSIC

It was a great year in music. There is nothing I love the most than music so I always get so excited when there are new albums to come!
One of the reason why I love autumn is because a lot of artists release their albums during those months. So the artists I enjoyed the most are:
- The Weeknd: his album 'Beauty behind madness' is a piece of art. I love his style, but what I love the most is his voice.
- One direction: They have been my guilty pleasure since they started in the x factor. I was sad when Zayn left but I was also excited when 'Made in the AM' was about to be released and I completely loved it when it did. I feel that it is much more mature than their previous ones and I love their sound! I love the songs 'If I could fly' and 'Perfect'.The only thing is that I am sad that their 'hiatus' has already begun but I understand that it is what they need.
- Justin Bieber: it has been a huge year for JB, his hit 'Where are you now' gave us a small hint of what his album coming up was going to be. When 'Purpose' was released I completely fell in love with it! You can really notice the influence by Skrillex and Diplo in it and that is a good thing. The vibe is so great and his voice is amazingly good! Since 'Sorry' came out I cannot stop dancing and singing to it! And another song that I love is 'Love yourself' which was written by my beloved Ed Sheeran.
-Tori Kelly: I have no words to describe how much I love her voice, her music, her hair... I love everything about her! Her performance on stage is incredible and her album 'Unbreakable smile' is a master piece. The songs I love the most are 'I was made for loving you' and 'Should've been us'.

Those four artists are just some that have been more appealing to me but there have been so many more that have been incredible such as Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez ('Hands to myself'), Adele...

LIFE

As I said at the beginning this was a year of change and the biggest one was that I was studying Chemical Engineering and now I am studying Biomedical Engineering which is what I really wanted in the first place! So I am quite happy about that!
On the other hand by changing my career I had to leave some friends behind. Last year I met some of the best people I know and I am so thankful for that. Sometimes, there are people you know from a short period of time that prove you more than people you know your entire life, so that is kind of what happened to me! But as nowadays is very easy to keep in touch with people you don’t see every single day we are as close as when I was there! But I miss them so much.
On the other hand, going to a new class has taken me to meet some new people, I only met them 3 months ago but I can say that they are great people and I can feel a great friendship over the years!
Then, by going to Ireland by myself and live there for two months has made me more independent and mature. I learnt to appreciate everything I have and the effort it takes. I am so thankful for this amazing experience and I will always remember it with love and affection.

MOVIES, TV AND BOOKS

I am more into tv shows than movies, so that is why I am going to share some of my favorite with you. This year the shows that I have enjoyed the most are:
- Pretty Little Liars: I really enjoyed the last season but I am not happy with the last episode at all and with who A is.
- How to get away with murder: I loved this last season! this show keeps surprising me! It evens makes me want to study law!
- Stitchers: This is a new tv show that I liked! I think that the idea is quite original and you should give it a try!
- The Royals: this series is fun, entertaining and very interesting! I absolutely love it!

When it comes to movies the only thing I can say is that for the first time I have watch all the Star Wars saga. I have to say that I thought I wasn't going to like it at first but I was completely wrong. I absolutely love it! I only have to watch the one that is now on cinemas and I am looking forward to it!
I have read a couple of books this year but the one I have enjoyed the most is Paper Towns by John Green. I love the way he writes and this book is amazing!

So that is everything for today, next time I post it will be a new year and maybe some new year resolutions will be around here! I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you very soon!
Have a great end of 2015 and beginning of 2016!

HOLIDAY PARTY MAKE UP LOOK

First of all... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE READING! I hope you had a great couple of days with your beloved ones. For some of you holidays are almost over but here in Spain we still have a few celebrations such as new years eve, new years day and the three wise men day.

Today I bring you a make up look that I personally think is perfect for these days.
The main thing about the look are the bold berry lips and the reddy toned eyes. I personally think that this is perfect for a celebration or a party (both of them are quite usual around this time of the year). So I am going to show you the main products I used for this look.
For this look I chose the INFALIBLE 24h-MAT foundation by Loreal Paris; I've only used this foundation twice but I can say that it is quite good. It has a great coverage and it is perfect for night time events.
Then I used the Contouring pencil set by KIKO, firstly lets take a look at the beautifully made rose gold packaging, on the other hand about the quality of the product I can say that it is pretty good for its price (it is only 10€ or so); the bronzer is incredible but the highlighter is not as pigmented as I would expect it to be but it is quite good.
To give a little bit of color to my cheek I used the KIKO Tribal Soul Baked Blush in Wild Mauve. I find this product just as good as some high end blushes. You get three products in one, two blushes and a highlighter but I like to apply the three of them together.
When it comes to eyes I chose two eyeshadows by NYX in the colors HEAT(red tone) and GOLD LUST, these two colors fit quite nicely together.
Finally my favorite part of the look, the berry lips. For this part I chose two of my go-to lipstick. The first one is Diva by MAC which is my ultimate favorite lipstick and then I chose the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in 107 which is a great lipstick for its price and I completely love it!

So that is everything for today. I hope you liked it and I will see you very very soon! Enjoy your holidays!

NYX STORE MADRID #NYXSPAIN

Hi there!
I am back! I finally finished my mid-term exams and I am back again here.
Today I did not have much to do so I decided to go to the city centre and look a little bit around the shops. I had to go to Primark. There is a new Primark here in Gran Via in Madrid, which is the best in the world and second biggest in the world. So I am quite happy there is one in the city centre.
But as I was walking through Fuencarral St. which is one of my favorite streets in Madrid to go shopping I just remembered that a new NYX cosmetics shops was about to be opened. So when I was going to go inside the store I found out that today was actually the opening act so  there was a couple of Spanish vloggers. They were Aishawari and Alittletoooften. I knew who they where but I haven't seen much of them on Youtube.

But what I really wanted to do was to have a look around the shop and I can say that it is pretty great. From what I know it is the first NYX shop in Europe (What I really mean is a shop with only NYX products).  NYX is an awesome make-up brand, so I manage to purchase a couple of products.

I ended up buying two lip products and an eye shadow. The lipstick has quite a shimmer finish, but it doesn't look too shiny on me which is great. It is the Lip Smacking Fun Colors Lipstick in the shade 565 which is a dark browny nude. Then I got a matte finish lip liner which is also waterproof and it is in the shade 'Dark Soul'. And the last thing I purchased is an eye shadow. It is the shade 'Heat 70' which has quite a red and copper touch on it. I really like this color and it is one of my go-to shades at the moment of doing my eyes.
That is everything for today and I hope that you enjoyed it. If you happen to be around Madrid you can go and have a look because it is really good!
See you soon.Thanks for reading!

HI AUTUMN!

Credits to the owner in tumblr

It's been a couple of weeks since I last posted but I have been really busy with uni. By the way, that is what I hate the most about going back to class. You also go back to not having a lot of time for yourself and your hobbies. But that is not what I wanted to talk about.
Fall is definitely my favorite season of the year. Not only because my birthday is the 14th of October but I think it is the most beautiful time of the year and I love the weather during these months. Here in Madrid we do not get very cold falls. Besides, I completely adore the autumnal colors and everything that comes with it! As well as the fall make-up colors which are definitely my favorite. A berry lip is a must for me during this time of the year.
Living in Spain we do not get lots of rainy days but I do love when they come. During those days I love to light a candle, grab a cozy blanket, my favorite tea and the TV show that I am obsessed with at that time.
Regard music, I love to be doing things around my house and have music playing. So at fall what I enjoy the most is listening to this relaxed, slow and peaceful music. I have to say that most of the music I listen to is exactly as I described but it is true that during summer time I tend to enjoy more lively music because I am in the mood to go partying and things like that...
So what I do enjoy now is music such as Ed Sheeran (a must for me all year round), Ella Henderson and last but not least I am enjoying a lot Shawn Mendes music.
But right now there is a song which I am obsessed with and it is: 'We don't have to take our clothes off' by Ella Eyre.
I hope you enjoyed this random post and I will be around here more often or at least I will try.

VOGUE: like a painting

Last Saturday I attended to an exhibition at the Thyssen Museum in Madrid. I got a double invitation so my friend Ana and me went together.
This exhibition brings together sixty fashion photographs inspired by painting. This photos were taken by great fashion photographers of the past thirty years. They were taken by leading names in photography such as Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz, Tim Walker, Erwin Olaf or Mario Testino.
These images bring to mind famous paintings from fenomenal painters such as Zurbarán, Gauguin, Dalí... Although there are some photographs which meaning is much more subjective.
If you live in Madrid I totally recommend you to go and give it a go. You can also visit the permanent collection at the Thyssen Museum which is also brilliant.
As it was an exhibition of photographs they let me take some pics for you to see. I loved this exhibition and I hope you do as well.

Beautiful Karlie Kloss

The exhibition is only available until the 12th of October so go before it ends.

DUBLIN

Hi there! I am back in Spain and Back into university!
But I still have to share with you guys many things from Ireland. Today I thought that I would talk about the capital, Dublin.
Dublin is a very big city where you can do plenty of things. It is full of life and beautiful places to visit. While I was in Ireland I spent one night in Dublin and then I went again just for the day.
I visited plenty of things included the Guinness Storehouse. And I decided that the best way to tell you all about Dublin is sharing the pictures that I took while being there. So I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! I just visited some places such as the Trinity College, the St. Stephen Green Park, the streets of Dublin and the Temple Bar area.

SMASHBOX: Try it Kit BESTSELLERS

Hi there! A couple of weeks ago I bought this kit by Smashbox which contains small sizes of their bestsellers products and today I thought I would do a little review of these for products.

This kit contains for of their most popular products such as the Photo OP Eye Shadow Trio in Filter, the Full Exposure Mascara, the Photo Finish Foundation Primer or the 24 Photo Finish Shadow Primer.

First I will start with the two primers which are the two products that I was looking forward to try. I have to say that they are quite good. The Photo Finish Foundation Primer is quite good. It does its job but I have noticed that it wouldn't make your make up last for an entire day. But to be honest the first 10 hours your make-up would look flawless. Moreover, in this kit you find the 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer which is a shadow primer that locks on more vibrant color for a full 24 hours with no fading, creasing or smudging (as the box says) and I can say that this is completely true, it sets your eyeshadows incredibly good and it is a great great primer. I think that this is their newest shadow primer too. I am in love with this product.

Finally the kit also includes two make-up items: the Photo OP Eye Shadow Trio in Filter which are 3 perfectly coordinated shades ( a base shade, a contour color and a highlighter) of Smashbox's velvety-smooth, hi-res shadows. They are quite good and perfect for a weekend trip if you want to take them with you. The last product is the Full Exposure Mascara which exposes your longest, fullest lashes. It is great. Normally I don't like that type of brush but this one works perfectly for me.

To conclude I have to say that I am very happy with the Smashbox Products. It's a pity that we don't have it in Spain because I would definitely buy the more often. So If you haven't tried Smashbox and you are like me and you didn't want to spend a lot of money on a brand that you didn't know that much go and buy this kit. It is perfect to get to know the products and get an idea of the brand.

Thanks for reading, and I will see you very very soon!

CONNEMARA, County of Galway

Hello there!
Last weekend, I went to do a tour around the area of Connemara. It is a district in the west of Ireland surrounded by many lakes such as Lake Corrib which is one of the largest in the Republic of Ireland. I joined three friends and we went on a day trip around that area so what I am going to do is just share with you some of the pics that I took.

Kylemore Abbey
The following pictures belong to a beach which conects Omey Island to Ireland and you can drive through it when the tide is low, but be careful if you want to come back to the main land on time.

I hope you liked the pics. Thanks for reading and you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram.

FAVORITE MUSIC: SUMMER '15

Hello there!
Today I bring you my favorite tunes from this summer! I've been loving a lot of music this past few weeks but I am just going to share with you my favorite ones.

THE WEEKND :I can not explain how much I love his music and his voice and everything but my favorite songs from him are 'Can't feel my face' and definitely 'The Hills'.

DRAG ME DOWN- ONE DIRECTION: I was afraid of how would be their first single without Zayn but to be honest I think that their sound is quite better now and the type of music and everything. I even bought it on Itunes. I usually listen to in over spotify but I loved it so much that I had to buy it. I can not stop listening to it. I think is bloody amazing.

GOOD FOR YOU- SELENA GOMEZ: When I first listened to this song I didn't realized it was Selena Gomez, it is a type of music that I had never heard her sing before but I love it. It is such a great song and I've been listening to it on repeat.

NOT LETTING GO- TINIE TEMPAH FT JESS GLYNNE: I am not able to describe with word show much I love this song. Each time that I listen to it I just want to dance and I forget about everything going on.

LITTLE MIX:  What I love the most about these fore girls is their friendship. I adore how they support each other and they are totally friendship goals. I have been listening to their new single 'Black magic' on repeat but last week I saw a cover that they did in the BBC Radio 1 youtube channel I think that it is awesome.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you very very soon! Follow me on Twitter and Instagram

CONG AND ASHMORE CASTLE

On Monday I went to a little town called Cong. It is a very charming village located in County Mayo and it is known for  its underground streams that connect Lough Corrib with Lough Mask to the north. It was also the home for the father of the incredible well known writer Oscar Wilde.
Moreover it is the home of the Ashford castle which originally was a Victorian faux lakeside castle built by the Guinness family, but now it is just a luxury hotel. Its surroundings are incredible too. There is a forest where you can do some routes and walk for an hour or so. I did one of the routes and I was completely on my own. There weren't any other tourists and It felt great as I could enjoy the beauty of the forest and the nature with no one around.  Furthermore, this castle and its surroundings were used to film the movie 'The Quiet Man'.

I had a great time there and I totally recommend it. Since I've been here in Ireland this is what I have enjoyed the most! Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home and I had to take the pictures with my phone but I will probably be going back very soon.
After being around the castle and the gardens I went back to Cong and I had a great Chai Latte and a brownie in the 'Puddleducks Cafe'.
I truly think that this is a great place to go just for a walk and it is a very healthy and inexpensive way to spend a day out if you are here in Ireland.
I hope you liked it and I will see you very soon.
