Multiply Tour: Ed Sheeran Concert (25th November, Madrid)
15:25Today is Thursday and as I told you in my last entry this is a very special post to me. On Tuesday I attended to Ed Sheeran concert here in Madrid and I can not even describe how amazing it was.
It was the best concert I have ever been to in my entire life. And I am not overreacting. It is just simply awesome how only one person can fill the stage the way Ed does.
On Tuesday I went to university at 8:30 in the morning and I was so nervous because of the concert later that evening that I got out of class as I thought I had to go to the venue to queue in order to have a good place to see him. I arrived there at 11 o'clock in the morning and I was waiting in line for almost 5 hours when I don't know why everyone started to run and we had to wait for 2 hours standing when it was raining quite a lot and we got very very wet (when I got out of the concert after 3 hours I was still wet). At 6:30 in the afternoon they opened the gates and everybody forgot everything because something magic was about to happen.
The first act was Jamie Lawson, I didn't know anything about him but from what I saw the other day he seemed a very good guy besides being a very talented man. I will definitely listen more of his music very soon.
Then the following act was Saint Raymond. I didn't know him either but his music was AMAZING, I really loved it. Just when I got home I went and listen to his Debut EP and it is great. My favorite song is I Want You. After the concert I had the chance to meet him and have a picture and a little chat with him and he is truly a very lovely young man.
After those two great performances the moment we all were waiting for arrived, and Ed Sheeran came into the stage to play.
I loved every second of it. I already had watched online a concert of him (the Itunes festival) and It was even better to see him live. It was one of the best nights I've ever had. It was incredible. He is such a lovely guy... The audience was perfect too and everyone was singing and having a wicked time.
My favorite moments of the night were:
- Tenerife Sea performance as Tenerife is an island from Spain and he said that he wrote a song about our country (and obviously my heart melted a little bit!)
- Give me love was unbelievable.
- Thinking out Loud was nothing but perfect.
- I loved the moment when everyone was dancing with Bloodstream.
- You need me, I don't need you was insane too.
But what I liked the most was the fact that he did everything by himself. He recorded the melody base, the background vocals, the percussion and he sang and played the guitar at the same time astonishingly. Ed is everything I aspire to be in this life, because besides his undeniable talent he is one of the best human beings ever.
I attended to the concert with my sister, my cousin and some friends, but due to the lack of organisation they had to divide the queue and they divided us too. But I ended being with a friend of mine, called Aisha (and she has a blog too, go check it out), my sister and my cousin.
PS: here is the setlist of the concert:
