CONG AND ASHMORE CASTLE

On Monday I went to a little town called Cong. It is a very charming village located in County Mayo and it is known for  its underground streams that connect Lough Corrib with Lough Mask to the north. It was also the home for the father of the incredible well known writer Oscar Wilde.
Moreover it is the home of the Ashford castle which originally was a Victorian faux lakeside castle built by the Guinness family, but now it is just a luxury hotel. Its surroundings are incredible too. There is a forest where you can do some routes and walk for an hour or so. I did one of the routes and I was completely on my own. There weren't any other tourists and It felt great as I could enjoy the beauty of the forest and the nature with no one around.  Furthermore, this castle and its surroundings were used to film the movie 'The Quiet Man'.

I had a great time there and I totally recommend it. Since I've been here in Ireland this is what I have enjoyed the most! Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home and I had to take the pictures with my phone but I will probably be going back very soon.
After being around the castle and the gardens I went back to Cong and I had a great Chai Latte and a brownie in the 'Puddleducks Cafe'.
I truly think that this is a great place to go just for a walk and it is a very healthy and inexpensive way to spend a day out if you are here in Ireland.
I hope you liked it and I will see you very soon.

SOAP AND GLORY

HELLO THERE!
How is your summer's going? I'm still here in Ireland and today I thought that I would share a review of the brand Soap and Glory.
I've known this brand for almost two years, but you can not get their products in Spain... (sad but true). Last year when I was in Brighton I could see a little bit of their products but as I didn't know exactly what to buy I didn't purchased much.
Last thursday I went again to Galway and I went shopping a little bit and I saw that in Boots they have the Soap and Glory Make-up counter, as well as the bath and skincare counter so I went a little bit crazy about it! I have to say that in the bath collection they have a couple of offers at the time so go and check them out.

So after being almost an hour looking at all of their product I ended up buying 3 bath products and 2 make up items.
The thing that I like the most about this brand is the packaging. I think that it is so well done and it is so beautiful. It is a perfect way to have your bath products as a decoration in your bathroom because they look great. Moreover I am so into this kind of vintage look.
Well, I am going to start with the bath range items:

There was an offer at the moment and if you spent more than 15€ you got for free 'The Righteous Butter'. This is a body butter to use to moisturize your body after your shower. Its formula contains shea butter and aloe vera and that makes the skin so much softer. I like it very much and I am afraid that I am going to run out of it sooner than I would like to haha

Another item that I got was the 'Glad Hair Day' ultra shine daily super shampoo. I can not describe the smell of it but I love it. It feels great on my hair and I find it quite good!

The last item that I got from the bath range was the 'Clean on me' creamy clarifying shower gel. It smells like mandarin. This one is definitely my favorite item. It feels so great. (I feel that I always use the same adjectives haha)

I also got two make-up items:

First I took this 'Solar Powder'. I have been looking for a Solar Powder that I would like for a long time and I think that this duo is quite good. In fact, it was my friend Aisha the one that told me about this product because she wanted to buy it herself so I thought that I good give it a try and I quite like it.

Finally I bought the 'Sexy Mother Pucker' Gloss Stick in the shade Nudist. It is a nude color and I find it perfect to wear just by itself to achieve a very natural look or you can use it on top of a matte nude lipstick (i.e. Velvet Teddy by MAC). It doesn't last a long time but I think it is quite good.

So that is everything that I got. I love this brand and if they had it in Spain I would buy their products more often.
I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you very soon!

GALWAY CITY

Hi there!!!
Last Saturday I decided that I wanted to go and explore and I went to Galway.
Galway is a city full of life and young people. It is quite a small city but it has everything you need. Unfortunately the weather was horrible and we could not visit as much as we wanted. I decided that it would be a good idea to share with you some of the pics that I took while being there!

As I told you It was raining the whole time so I wasn't able to see everything that I wanted but I have a very good feeling about this city. It is full of life and charming. Above you can see the main Street with all the tourist that there were in the city despite the weather.
There will be more posts in the next few weeks. I hope you enjoyed this one and I will see you very soon!
Thanks for reading and have a nice week!

FAVORITE MUSIC AT THE MOMENT

HELLO THERE!!
In the next weeks you will have a post about make up, others about Ireland and more cool things but for the moment I thought that it was a very good idea to share with you my favorite music at the moment.

I have been really enjoying the whole album 'Unbreakable Smile' by Tori Kelly. I've been listening to her music for a very long time but this album is just great. My favorite songs would be 'Nobody Love' and 'I was made for loving you' ft Ed Sheeran. You should now that Ed Sheeran is almost everything to me and this song was written by him and he also sings in it and it is just bloody amazing (as every single thing he does)
Besides the performance of Nobody Love at the BBMA was awesome.

Another artist that I have been listening to in repeat is Michael Jackson. I know you all have heard about him but for me is one of the greatest artist ever in the music industry. I started to listen to it again because I saw a video of Pentatonix where they did the Evolution of Michael Jackson and it was incredible. And since then I can not stop listening to his music all over again. I LOVE all of his songs but some of my favorites are definitely Man in the Mirror and Smooth Criminal.

Finally another singer that I can not get bored of is Hozier. His voice is so peaceful but has a lot of strength at the same time. I love it... I would never get tired of listening to Take me to Church but in fact I love the entire album... I enjoy a lot 'Sedated', 'From Eden', 'Work song' and 'Someone new'.

Thank you very much for reading this. I hope you liked it and I will see you very soon!!

MAROON 5: "V-Tour" (Madrid)

Hi there! First of all sorry about not being around here for the last couple of weeks. I've been finishing my university exams and that took all of my time (Although I have two more exams to go).
But I am here now to share my experience at the Maroon 5 concert I attended last Monday 15th of June.
I have to say a lot of things about this concert so keep reading haha. I was so excited when I found out that Maroon 5 was coming to Madrid. I have been a fan of them for a very long time. Besides, as you may know from my "TOP 3: Musical TV Shows" post I love The Voice and Adam Levine is a coach of the US edition. This concert was a gift for my birthday (which was back in October, but I decided to wait till now), so I've been waiting for a long time.
To be honest I have to tell you that I have mixed feelings about this gig. My friend and I had floor tickets so we decided to be outside the venue at 1 p.m. even though they didn't open the doors till seven. This past week the weather in Madrid has been crazy. It was raining the whole time and then it changed and the sun came out and it was so hot, so waiting outside the venue wasn't a good thing.
At 4 p.m. someone decided to start running towards the front door and the order in the queue was completely lost and we stayed 3 more hours standing waiting for the venue to open their doors. And that is all due to the bad organization planned for the event by the Barclaycard Centre.
Once we went into the arena my friend and I managed to get a very close spot next to the stage but once again the organization and security of the event were there for nothing. Around the area that I was anyone was able to breathe due to the huge amount of people there that were pushing toward the stage in order to get a better place. So the people at the front rows (as us) could not breathe.

The first opening act began, It was Nick Gardner. I did not know anything about him before the concert but he is quite good. I would compare him with a young Olly Murs. I liked the cover he performed of Madonna's Like a prayer. Moreover, the guitar player was soooooo hot. I know that his name is Mike and I instantly fell in love when I saw him.

Then, the second supporting artist came to the stage. It was Magic! I am sure that you have hear of them or at least you have heard the song "Rude" or "Don't kill the magic" They were quite good. They sing this kind of pop music with some influences of reggae although they are from Canada. I enjoyed both of those performances and the short cover of Take me to Church. On the other hand during a song that I didn't know I started to get very anxious because of the lack of air we had in there. The security of the venue had to take me out of the crowd and they took me to the paramedics where they checked if I was okay and they tried to calm me down. I stayed there for a few minutes and although I was worried and shocked all I could do was look behind the stage to check if I could see something interesting. After a couple of minutes I went back to my spot in the crowd and I enjoyed the rest of Magic!'s concert.

Around 9:30 p.m. Maroon 5 came to the stage and the concert started. At the beginning I could not enjoy it as much as I would like, because of what happened before but then we started to have more space to move and dance and everything was great. The music was amazing. The voice of Adam was impeccable and completely perfect. They did 17 songs and I particularly loved "This Love", "Sunday Morning", "She will be loved", "Payphone" and "Sugar" although all of them were incredible!

Being completely honest I was expecting a funnier Adam Levine. I've seen how he is in the voice and he is a quite funny guy, but at the concert he didn't talk to the audience or show a little bit of affection or something. He just came to the stage to perform their songs and that's all. I do not know if it was a bad day for him or something but I certainly was not expecting that.

At the end I had a very good time but it was a very tough beginning to a concert. What upsets me the most is that a few years ago here in Madrid in a Halloween Party where Steve Aoki played happened something horrible where some young girls died because of the bad organization of the event. And from then they have tried to make these kind of events safer but in this case they didn't tried at all.

To conclude I have to say Maroon 5 you were awesome. But Barclaycard Centre, you definitely should be more careful with these events.
By the way, I attended with my good friend Aisha, you should definitely check her blog (link in my favorite blogs section).
Thanks for reading, see you very soon ^^

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!!

Hello there! I know it is not summer yet but it kind of feels like it is. Here in Madrid the hot weather has already arrived haha But summer doesn't mean holidays. I have tons of exams left and this year my vacations don't start till July.
Last night I was thinking about this summer coming and I realized I do not have anything planned yet. I would love to go back to England or plan a good trip. But this is not necessarily the most important things.
This summer I want to try new things and get to know new places. It can be about Madrid or it can be about another place. I want it to be awesome and not boring at all.
So I have promised myself that I will start doing new things this summer. I already have a few projects in mind.
I hope you have an amazing summer!
I will see you soon!!
Bye xx
